Visit Old Jakarta Town was called as Batavia (also known now as “Kota”) with its colonial building architecture atmosphere in the oldest part of the Jakarta city. This Old Jakarta City was built from The Sunda Kelapa Harbor Old Harbor with traditional sailing ships, when the Dutch Traders VOC then follow by Dutch Colonial government 330 years ago . The Old Jakarta City or Batavia developed until today remained.
Old Batavia then changed its named become Jayakarta ( meaning Victory ) when the Javanese Local kingdom from Central Java conquered this city . The Arabs and Chinese traders then arrived and occupied the old Jakarta , which continued until today as Commercial area centre . After visiting the Old Harbor , The Old Batavia Tour visit the Old Jakarta Mayor Office of Dutch Government , now become the Fatahillah ( Victory from God ) Museum , Wayang or Shadow Puppet Museum and the Old Jakarta City Square .
